Dominic McClean – Chief Executive

Dominic provides leadership to both Northampton Volunteering Centre (NVC) and NVC Northants.

He has worked in the voluntary and community sector since 1997, working with a variety of organisations including the Victim Support Scheme in Dewsbury, Domestic Violence Forum, CHAS Kirklees and CHAS Bradford. Dominic joined Northampton Volunteering Centre in 2008 as Chief Executive. He volunteers himself in the local community at St Aiden's Church New Parks.

Jane Carr – Deputy Chief Executive and Countywide Team Manager

Jane has been managing the operations of NVC for the past 18 months. She has recently been appointed Deputy Chief Executive and manages the new Countywide Infrastructure Contract, NVC Northants.

Jane brings to the voluntary sector a wealth of management & business experience from the private sector.  She is one of a growing number of people who are keen to bring their private sector knowledge & skills to the voluntary sector.

Sarah Steele – Research and Development Officer

Sarah has been with NVC for two and a half years, previously as Development Worker working with individual groups in Northampton. She now has a research and development role in the countywide infrastructure organisation, NVC Northants.

Sarah has a wide variety of experience that she brings to the organisation including work in the NHS, Nottinghamshire Social Services and previous voluntary sector experience. She is also a trustee of a small community organisation.

Lucy Marshall – Information and Communications Officer

Lucy provides communication between Northamptonshire’s voluntary and community sector and its partners. She is developing information systems in order to keep the sector up to date with relevant consultations, policy changes and sector news. Lucy is also the editor and person to speak to regarding the NVC Northants ebrief.

Prior to joining the NVC Northants team, Lucy’s background is in PR and communications. She previously worked at a PR agency, working on a variety of clients ranging from technology companies to a business-led regeneration body and charity.

Penny Crockett – NVC Northants Administrative Support Worker

Penny has worked at NVC since 2008 and joined the NVC Northants team in 2011. She provides administrative support for NVC Northants and assists with the research and communications functions of the team. 

Prior to her arrival at NVC, Penny completed degrees in environmental science and maths before working in a variety of administrative roles in universities and charities.  Penny supports her community by volunteering at her church and by helping to manage her local Pocket Park.
