Steering Group
The Countywide Forum is guided by a steering group which includes 2 elected representatives from each of the 7 districts and boroughs of Northamptonshire.  The steering group is made up of representatives who have been elected by their district or borough.

CORBY:


 Debbie Egan


Debbie has worked within the voluntary sector for 16 years mainly covering Wellingborough and Corby.

Debbie was recently active in campaigning to influence NCC on overturning its programme of cuts, particularly for the advice sector countywide, and succeeded in overturning a decision to make 100% cuts across the board.

Debbie also serves as vice-chair on the committee for Corby Kingswood Children Centre, is a member of the steering group for the Corby Voluntary Sector forum and currently holds the position of Chair for the East Midlands Capability Forum.

 Kris
Krystyna Farrell

Krystyna has worked within the voluntary sector for over 20 years, and her skills predominantly lie in enabling and empowering communities to become better equipped to deal with challenges that impact on well being and cohesion.

Krystyna currently works for the Corby Community Partnership which is committed to raising the profile of marginalized groups.



DAVENTRY:

 Anne_B
Anne Bamfield

Anne is Manager at Citizens Advice Daventry & District which comprises the Citizens Advice Bureau, Welfare Rights and Disability helpline (DIAL).

Anne has worked within the voluntary sector since her early 20s, initially helping at play schemes and as a leader at two youth clubs. Since 1986 Anne has worked at Northampton CAB, initially starting as a volunteer.

Anne is currently a member of the Daventry Volunteer Forum.

 Kay

Kay Driver

Kay is the elected founder chair of the daventry and District Over 50's Forum. During her time in this role she has expanded the membership from five to a database of over 500. As a result of this work she wrote a strategy document with Daventry District Council on services for older people to help ensure progress in services for the over 50's





EAST NORTHANTS:

Mark Lees
Deputy Chair

Mark is a Minister at the Full Gospel Church in Rushden, and has dedicated much of his time and energy into community social action and promotion of the voluntary and community sector. Mark serves as a Development Officer for the East Northants Faith Group, a network of local churches promoting faith at the heart of the community.




Lynn
Lynn Lavender

Lynn is CEO of Nene Valley Citizens Advice Bureau and has been involved in the voluntary sector for over 30 years. Lynn brings a wealth of experience of working across the sector at an operational and strategic level both locally and nationally.

She is committed to community development and equal opportunities and has experience of lobbying local authorities for greater involvement in the voluntary sector.



KETTERING:



 Gill Correa

Gill has been involved with the third sector for 25 years both is her personal and professional life. She has worked within Wellingborough, East Northants and Kettering for local authorities on social regeneration, the Hope Project in Wellingborough and now for an educational charity project in Kettering.

Gill is passionate about the work of the third sector and its standing within both the county and local areas.

 Sally

Sally Muldowney

Sally works for Accomodation Concern in Kettering and is supporting them in developing their capacity to work with less funding from statutory funding streams.

Previously Sally has worked and supported in a voluntary capacity organisations such as womens network and with wellingborough Museum.




NORTHAMPTON:

 John_N
John Nightingale
Chair
John is a full time Director for the Manna House Trust. He has been involved with the project since its inception 28 years ago, and as a result of this work has developed a broad working knowledge of the charitable sector. Over the years John has taken an active role within the voluntary sector particularly within the mental Health Thematic Partnership. He is also a voluntary sector representative on the NCC Community Funding Advice Panel and the Health and Well Being Board. In addition to this work John is Chair of two small charities based in
Milton Keynes and also sits as a member of the Northampton Municipal Charities.



 Derry


Derry Miller

Derry has worked within the voluntary sector for 15 years, and is passionate about its impact on local communities.She is a member of the NVCS Forum, and also serves on the steering group.








SOUTH NORTHANTS:

 Phil

Phil Drage
Phil has initiated, grown and nurtured a thriving community project in the heart of
South Northants. Phil has a real desire to ensure that community and voluntary groups are resourced to support the invaluable work they do on behalf of their communities. His aim is to ensure that the views and concerns of smaller groups are heard and if needed acted upon.





WELLINGBOROUGH:

Anne Toms
Anne has lived within the county for over 25 years and been a keen activist at grass roots level, particularly reflecting upon wider roles for the voluntary and community sector and its governance. 


She has worked with many groups in the county involving work with children, adults young and old, disadvantaged and homeless people.

Anne previously served as the first Chairman of the Wellingborough VCSForum, and was involved in the formation of this group where she gained experience in developing new structures. She was also a member of the NCC-CFAP Community Funding Advisory Panel for the several years of its existence.
 
 Shashi_Dholakia

Shashikant Dholakia

Shashi is an active member of the Wellingborough District Hindu Association having served on it since it established.


In 1990 he became the first Asian Councillor for the borough, and in 1997 was elected as Mayor. During his term of office he raised £13,000 for the Mayor's Charity funds.




LOCAL INFRASTRUCTURE ORGANISATIONS NORTHAMPTONSHIRE (LION):



 Rosemary Hadaway

Rosemary is currently CEO of Nene Valley Community Action, the local infrastructure and support organisation for East Northants and Wellingborough which enables her to network and engage with stakeholders and funders and to have an overview of county matters.

Rosemary believes that ‘people come first’ and this has sustained her enthusiasm and commitment to the voluntary and community sector for many years. She has a passion for developing and supporting small, medium and large voluntary sector organisations to meet the diverse needs of local communities and individuals that they serve.

In her spare time Rosemary is fully engaged in an amateur adult football club which was started 17 years ago by herself and her partner.




Countywide Forum documents
Following the establishment of a Shadow Steering Group for the Countywide Forum, the documents below were agreed in draft at a Shadow Steering Group meeting.  The documents form the way in which the new Countywide Forum operates.  Feedback was invited from the sector on these documents in early 2010.  This consultation has now ended, but the documents are pasted below for information.
